you do this on these conditions: 1)you must do all the work yourself and have a place to keep it, if you have to pay a shop GAME OVER 2)the engine and turbos should not need anything more than 120k maintenance, if there is something wrong with it additionally GAME OVER 3)you should not offer more than $2500 for EVERYTHING... if there are extra parts needed then subtract that from the $2500 pending a compression test (and you can sell off your existing N/A motor and tranny and any parts of value on the chassis) if they want more OR it fails the compression test then GAME OVER 4)if you don't enjoy spending countless hours working on a Z, sweating your balls off, getting hurt/bleeding, crying in bed at night, being without your Z for a month (depending on how much free time you have) you guessed it GAME OVERI went through all of these for my Z, I didn't really do it to save money, I did it for fun.... you MIGHT break even if you do it all yourself and you'll end up with a Z that won't have the same value as a genuine TT if you try to sell it later BUT the end result will feel very rewarding and the positives are you'll have a factory quality HICAS delete and N/A rear end wont have to buy new registration wont have to pay more insurance you can say YOU did all that.... and alot of your friends will be impressed lol.
